San Marco is the heart of the city of Venice, the best known and most prestigious sestiere, from every point you are within walking distance of both Piazza San Marco and the Teatro della Fenice. This area is also very well served by all the Vaporetto lines, and the gondola ferry, you can also reach any corner of Venice in less than ten minutes. The flat is a stone's throw from St. Mark's Square, Campo San Luca and the world-famous La Fenice theatre. Therefore, together with its proximity to the best hotels and restaurants, it is located in one of the most popular and exclusive areas of Venice. In the heart of Venice, a few steps from La Fenice, we can admire the historic palazzetto designed by Gianbattista Meduna, the architect of La Fenice, which turns out to be the first Neo-Gothic style building built in Venice. Delighted by the beauty of this palace facing south, we enter through the entrance to our flat. We cross the threshold and are immediately struck by the central room, embellished with a monumental inlaid coffered ceiling, also the work of the famous architect. Original Venetian terrazzo floors and leaded windows give us a taste of the property's unique Venetian character. We are then impressed by the brightness of the living room and decide to walk through it. A stately living room with large windows that fill it with light opens up before us, with views of the field below and of La Fenice. On the same floor we then find a delightful pastel-coloured kitchen with a splendid view of St Mark's bell tower. We go up the stairs from the entrance hall to the sleeping area, where we find no less than four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with elegant finishes such as wooden floors and classy stucco work. The views from these rooms are priceless: from one, one has the impression of being in St. Mark's Square, the domes and bell tower towering over the panorama; another room, on the other hand, equipped with two walk-in wardrobes, leads to a veranda, formerly a terrace, where one can admire a view of all the roofs of Venice. We then move on to another very large room with an ensuite bathroom, from which one can wake up in the morning with a view of the dome of the Basilica della Salute. We then have a final room, accessed from a corridor used as a wardrobe room, with views over the rooftops. We are also fascinated by the romantic bathrooms, finished in wood and with windows. A storage room on the ground floor completes the property. This property is undoubtedly a rare gem in Venice, from its historicity to its brightness, making it a prestigious and charming residence in the heart of the city.
