Château de Laàs, an elegant 17th-century manor house, is home to one of the most remarkable collections of decorative arts in the Aquitaine region. You'll discover Aubusson tapestries, paintings by the famous Fragonard, porcelain, earthenware and refined furniture. Among the treasures of this collection is a unique series of 11 fan leaves dating from the 17th century, inherited from the Serbat couple, the last owners of the estate. In 1981, the estate was bequeathed to the Conseil Départemental des Pyrénées-Atlantiques, which now looks after this heritage.
Each year, the château's grounds host the famous Festival des Transhumances Musicales, a flagship event that has been taking place since 1996 during the Ascension weekend, attracting visitors from all over the region.
