Sobretudo veículos pesados que se dirigem para Leste em direção à vizinha Espanha; - O preenchimento de uma lacuna na região, a criação de um parque de descanso para esses veículos com a instalação de uma infraestrutura de apoio com serviço de cafetaria, e eventualmente serviço de refeições; - Criação de um parque para estacionamento de autocaravanas eventualmente com alguma infraestrutura de apoio; - Não é despiciendo considerar a possibilidade de, através da apresentação do competente requerimento dirigido à Câmara Municipal de Abrantes, dado o espaço em apreço estar ligado à malha urbana da povoação de Areia, poder solicitar a mudança de afetação para urbano no todo ou em parte.
